I was with a group that went almost all of the way through the Catapult mission in Post Searing Ascalon. We just fired off the catapult and killed a whole mess of Charr, and we were right up against the edge of the big wall when...

Were you by the campfire by the end of the mission? Someone on your team probably lauched the catapult when your team was there lol.. I do it all the time

Lol somehow I laughed hysterically(sp?) at that. Ahem anyhow I've done that mission plenty of times, I've never seen a statue fall, but I know if a friend blasts you with that catapult then KAbLAAM you sir are dead..

Yeah someone on your team fired the catapult.

Sometimes when your team is too weak to take on the char, you send one in as bait, he/she runs toward the fire and the charr follow and get nuked.

In your situation you probably had a jerk or a newbie on your team.

yeah well my girlfriend played a joke on me cuz I told her I'm heading over there to raise minions from the whole ish load of charrs, Then when I raised a good army she launched it and I ran but my lovely army minions all died

Naw, we were all over by the wall, no one was near the catapult. Maybe it was that shifty engineer fellow...?

I would have suspected catapult as well, but it said something to the effect of Falling and then maybe Statue of Someone. It was soooo weird.

too bad you don't have a video... That seems weird that such a thing happened... come to think of it was there even really a statue there???

from last I remember I don't recall a statue...

Well, it was right up by the wall. I was sitting there waiting, my guildmate that fired the catapult was right about even with the rest of the party when my viewing angle suddenly skewed upwards and I caught a flash of, well... a falling wall. Then I got those huge red numbers over my head, and then the next thing I know I'm dead. I know there was some text telling me what the attack was (something to the effect of Something Something Character Name the Something). I was too stunned for video or screencapture.

I'll experiment in retail to try and get it again, for everyone's amusement.

Well I know that the catapult bolts out a huge type of thing and up close it might resemble a wall...

and I know it kills thing even near the wall because when the charr bosses were near the edge of the wall when it blasted its aoe caught it

I'm pretty certain it's a bug. So it should be reported to ArenaNet and eliminated from the game. I sure as hell don't want chunks of walls falling on me.

Sweet i want a wall to fall on my head. i wonder what it was that hit you. I guess i will have to try adn get Owned by a random falling wall on the 28th.
